Our recently launched Tray a Day 2.0, which sees free Proove@Home kits reserved for hungry key workers, has been going swimmingly! Set to run from 1st – 14th March across our Sheffield and West Didsbury sites, the campaign is just a little way for us to say thank you to those who have been working hard on the frontline, keeping the country going throughout lockdown (one, two, and three!).
Aiming to reach out to as many key workers as possible, we thought what better way to get a free pizza to their door than to send it home with their child(ren)? Thus, Tray a Day 2.0 was expanded, and we got in touch with a few schools local to our Sheffield and West Didsbury restaurants to make it happen, with bonus kits thrown in for the teachers too – the unsung heroes of the pandemic.
Over the course of this week, our team have been out on the roads visiting West Didsbury CE Primary, Cavendish Community Primary, and St Paul’s CE Primary in West Didsbury, and Westways Primary, Porter Croft CE Primary, and Springfield Primary in Sheffield, to deliver 50 free Proove@Home kits to each school, for the kids of key workers to take home and enjoy with their families.
“The first Tray a Day campaign that we ran last year saw over £25,000-worth of Proove pizza cooked up and delivered fresh to the workplaces of those on the frontline,” explains Proove Director and Co-owner, Deepak Jaiswal. “We really enjoy running these campaigns – it’s great to connect with the communities local to our restaurants and just give a little bit back.
“With these Proove@Home deliveries to the schools, we really hope that the children will enjoy decorating and cooking up their own Proove pizza at home with their family. At Proove, we’re committed to using only the finest and freshest ingredients, and the bonus of this campaign is that it not only allows us to say thanks to key workers and put a smile on the kids’ faces, but it also allows us to drive the initiatives we remain dedicated to of teaching children the importance of healthy eating and promoting the use of fresh produce.”
